About Spotted Zebra

WE ARE THE SPOTTED ZEBRA

Many ask about our name. Well it is whimsical, and one might say esoteric, and derives from a misquote by a prominent former US Senator from Tennessee, who confidently proclaimed, "A zebra does not change its spots."  In this new DC hot-SPOT, we shine a tongue-in-cheek SPOT-light on the contradictory, and often irreverent and humorous words from politics. It's this mix of saucy, sarcastic, and sometimes laughable political quotes that offer nods to the great (and not-so-great) orators of the world's second-oldest profession. They are woven into the names of dishes and cocktails and found on the top of tables, the bar, and people's minds.

Spotted Zebra is open from 6:30 am to midnight for dine-in or takeaway serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night fare. Guests are treated to easy-to-order, fast, and efficient food-market-style dining. Stop in before 5 pm, pick your SPOT at any open table, then order at the counter or by QR Code.  Enjoy just a quick break because the session starts soon. Quicker than Speakers of the House drop their gavel, your food and drinks arrive with a smile and a pair of helping hands. It's not political, it's all about timing, you are never waiting to order and never waiting for the check.

In the evening, the bar is the centerpiece of the action, picks up for in late afternoon, and plays hard into the late night. This area is run by skilled bartenders who keep it hustling by doing the mixing, mingling, order-taking, and serving needed to run the house floor. Any evening you don't elect for the bar scene, just grab a table away from the action, as it's always open seating at Spotted Zebra. Vote for your evening dining choices by ringing them in on any smart device and marvel at the quick and attentive service.

We aim for the entire experience to be SPOT-on. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the hospitality are the only things we take seriously. "Read our Lips, No New Taxes, Just Good Eating and Good Times". Please join us for a bite, a drink, or a friendly debate and we will leave you wanting to come back for more.
